Jacob Maris (Dutch, 1837-1899)

The present lot can be dated 1859/60 as the work can be compared to a picture of the identical subject painted by the artist's brother Matthijs Maris. The brothers spent their summers together in Wolfheze and Oosterbeek where they painted these works in the period 1859/60.
