BUONO, Floriano dal. Ritratto overo profilo della citta di Bologna. Bologna: 1636.
Engraved bird's-eye panorama of Bologna (overall image area: 510 x 2050mm), nine joined sheets and white-on-black manuscript banner across the top: Bononia vetustissima musarum sedes [etc.], mounted on linen. (Some tears and holes with loss to small areas of the image, surface soiling.) Rolled in a marbled-paper tube, modern red morocco label.
Very rare, early panoramic view of Bologna, printed on four sheets, with the arms of prominent Bolognese families on five engraved sheets joined to them along the bottom. There are various versions of the engraver's name: Bènèzit lists him as Floriano del Bono.
