A Chinese wooden figure of Guanyin
19th/20th Century
the deity standing in a gentle sway, one hand raised, holding her scarf in her right hand, wearing a necklace, bracelets and armlets, swirling scarves across the shoulders around the arm falling, naturalistically, the legs wrapped in a dhoti tied at the waist, her serene face with eyes half-closed below a crowned chignon, some paint remaining -- 65in. (165cm.) high.
