[R.A.C. de RENNEVILLE]. A Collection of Voyages Undertaken by the Dutch East-India Company, for the improvement of trade and navigation. Containing an account of several attempts to find out the North-West Passage, and their discoveries in the East-Indies, and the South Seas. Together with an historical introduction, giving an account of the rise, establishment and progress of that great body. Translated from the French. London: for W.Freeman, J.Walthoe [and others], 1703. 8° (190 x 114mm.). 10 engraved maps (8 folding). (R1 with 20mm. paperfault tear to lower blank margin.) Contemporary panelled calf, spine gilt, later 18th-century blue morocco lettering-piece to spine (neat repair to upper joint and head and foot of spine).

ESTC notes that this work is a translation of the first volume of Renneville's Recueil des voyages, which itself was an adaption and translation of Isaak Commelin's Begin ende voortgangh van de Vereenighde Nederlandtsche Geoctroyeerde Oost-Indische Compagnie.
