Oval box, the panels on cover and base engine-turned with elliptical reeding and enamelled in opalescent translucent lavender-blue, the four side panels identically enamelled on a horizontally reeded ground, all within fluted borders flanked by white enamel and gold taille d'épargne fillets, the lid centred by an oval enamel plaque painted with a lady and child at an altar of Love, within a split-pearl set border, the outer sablé gold borders decorated with translucent green enamelled leaves and white pellets, similarly enamelled side dividers
