CIRCA 1723-24, DREHER'S , TO SAUCER
Painted by J.G. Höroldt, the teabowl with an Oriental lady carrying a tray of vessels and a teapot followed by an Oriental with a parasol, within a quatrefoil gilt cartouche with Böttger-lustre panels and iron-red and pale-brown scrolls, the reverse painted by Stadler with an insect and a bird in flight flanking flowering branches extending down from the rim, the interior with a Kakiemon flower-spray, the saucer with an Oriental lady with an infant seated at a table with ornaments, an Oriental with a feathered headdress standing nearby with an exotic bird, within a similar cartouche and border, the underside with three concentric red circles, gilt band rims (some areas of wear, minute chipping to footrims, saucer with fine crack at 3 o'clock)

專家說明

The subject, taken from sheet 22 of the Schulz-Codex, appears in virtually identical form on a teabowl and saucer from the service still in Schloss Favorite made for Markgräfin Sibylla Augusta von Baden-Baden.
