These urns formed part of an important table garniture made by Giovanni Casolla between 1824-1832 for a European royal house. The remaining parts of the service, consisting of four pierced urns, a centerpiece supported by classical maidens, two smaller centerpieces supported by putti and a mirror plateau are illustrated in Bruno Molajoli, Argenti Napoletani dal XVI al XIX Secolo, 1973, p. 336.
