現場拍賣 1541PHOTOGRAPHS FROM THE COLLECTION OF SIR ELTON JOHN
ROBERT MAPPLETHORPE (1946-1989)
拍品 43'The composition of a photograph is very important to me and Mapplethorpe has such a strong formal side to his work. I have quite an extensive collection of his photographs. Regretfully, I never got to meet him. He was scheduled to photograph me two weeks before he died, but was too weak to do it. When I look at his work, I feel connected to him.'
