專家說明

An opera in three acts by Wagner, Tristan & Isolde was composed between 1857-59 and based on the characters from Arthurian legend. Roerich produced stage designs for the 1922 unrealised production by the Chicago Opera Company.

We are grateful to Gvido Trepsa and The Roerich Museum, New York, for their assistance with the cataloguing of the present lot.
