with closed mouth, bright blue painted eyes with white dot highlight, solid pate, pierced ears, blonde wig and deep shoulder plate with moulded spine, the calico body with kid arms and mitten fingers, wearing pink and cream striped silk frock á la Polonaise and underclothes marked in ink A.M.O. 1875, possibly Simon & Halbig, 1870s --19½in. (49.5cm.) high, pencil mark on top of pate (fading and some damage to frock)
