Adrien-Jean le Mayeur de Merprès (Belgian, 1880-1958)

This painting was probably a preliminary version for a painting with the same title in the book: Jop Ubbens and Cathinka Huizing, Le Mayeur painter/traveller, p.18 (ill.13).

The authenticity of this lot has kindly been confirmed by Drs Cathinka Huizing after first hand examination.
