signed 'A.Rodin' (on the top of the base); inscribed with the foundry mark 'Georges.Rudier Fondeur.Paris' (on the back of the base); dated and inscribed '© by Musée Rodin 1955' (on the left side of the base); with the raised signature 'A.Rodin' (on the inside)
bronze with brown and black patina
Height: 10¾ in. (27.3 cm.)
Conceived in 1884; this bronze version cast in July 1955
