Charles Fairfax Murray (1849-1919)

The drawing was evidently modelled by Murray's Italian wife, Angelica. Born Angelica Colivicchi, she was a country girl from Volterra whom Murray met in Pisa in July 1873 and married there two years later. For details of the marriage, see David B.
