This type of seat furniture was often painted in contrasting colours. Related models are illustrated in E. Quaglino, Il Piemonte, Milano, 1966, p. 174.

Each with rectangular back and seat upholstered 'à châssis' in raspberry and white striped satin silk, carved overall with husk-trails and rosettes, with foliate-wrapped arm-supports, on fluted tapering legs terminating in foliate-carved toupie feet, redecorated, with traces of original grey and white decoration
