專家說明

The sitter was possibly the Prussian General Count August Ludwig Ferdinand von Nostitz (1777-1866). He entered the Prussian Army in 1802 and served after the Battle of Bautzen as General Blücher's Adjutant. In 1825, he became General Major and in 1828, during Russia's Turkish Campaign, he assisted Tsar Nicholas I in his headquarters. In 1835, Nostitz was appointed Second Commander of Berlin, in 1838 General Lieutenant and in 1840 Head of the 5th Regiment of the Husars. From 1850 to 1860, he was Prussian envoy in Hanover.
