With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with blue gothic-style hour markers and monogrammed back in 1911 and its subsequent sale on December 13th, 1913. Further accompanied by undated Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin & Warranty and wooden presentation box.

Colonel Thomas Byrd Whitted (1876 - 1935) was a well-known engineer and associate in the New York office of C.H. Wheeler Manufacturing Company. He volunteered his services during the World War and was sent to France in 1917 as a captain with the Seventh Engineers, Fifth division. Widely known in the construction industry, Colonel Whitted's interests broadened and he was also associated with the Newport Shipping and Drydock Company where he aided the Russian government in installing a large power plant on the Dnieper river. The present watch is fresh to the market coming directly from a family member of Colonel Whitted. The extract further comfirms the dial and with original certificate, presentation box and nice overall condition make this a rare and interesting collectible watch. For a complicated personalized watch owned by Thomas B Whitted see lot 260.
