拍品專文

The seal mark reading 'shang yuan lao ren' is the seal of Zhang Feng (? - 1662), a renowned painter active during the late Ming and the early Qing dynasties.

The inscription contains a poem entitled 'Feng Zheng San You Shan', composed by the Tang poet Lu Tong. The poem may be translated as:
The flowers blossom at the place where we met,
the rocky cliffs overlap with the mountains to form thousands of peaks. I wonder when I would be able to meet you again,
a pine tree stands tall on the rock above the cold current.
