IRAN AND TURKEY, EARLY 16TH TO 18TH CENTURY
Comprising four complete bindings with flap and two covers with flap, one binding with finely stamped and tooled covers with cusped medallions and spandrels bordered with gilt interlace, the doublures with gold speckled medallions; the five other bindings heavily gilt and stamped with a large central field with Chinese clouds and floral scrolls, most bordered with Qur'an inscriptions in thuluth script, the doublures with fine découpé leather medallions applied over coloured paper backgrounds, one cover damaged, the others in relatively good condition
